Muslims Intrigue to snatch property from Walter Fazal, a millions property owner Christian by imposing blasphemy.

Lahore: May 21, 2007. Walter Fazal is arrested by Samanabad Police and sent to jail under section 295 B PPC on complaint of his Muslim servant Raja Mohammad Riaz. Riaz alleged that Walter Fazal aged 79, has burnt a copy of Koran in his house

Samanabad is posh residential area in Lahore city where property value has boomed in recent years and house where Walter Fazal resides is also estimated in millions. It is reported that Fazal has turned down offers of many real estate builders to sell his property.

On May 9, Muslim servant Riaz Mohammad came on street shouting that Walter Fazal has burnt copy of Koran in his home. When few Muslim trespassed home he was in shower room and Koran was burning on entrance lobby of house.

Riaz Mohammad approached nearby mosque and called Pesh Imam. When Muslim Mob attacked his home and beating Walter, some neighbour called local police. Police filed a case under blasphemy charges and sent Fazal to judicial custody.

When family members of Walter Fazal came to visit Mrs. Walter aged 84, they were stopped by some unknown bearded persons to meet Gladys Fazal.

The house occupants said “Mrs. Gladys Walter has converted to Islam on May 10, and don’t want to meet Christians”

Najam Fazal, son of Walter Fazal approached Lahore High Court and filed a petition to meet his mother. When Najam approached along with High Court clerk to his home, her mother was found seriously ill and she refused of her conversion to Islam. The Lahore High Court awarded custody of Gladys to her son Najam and she is admitted in hospital for treatment.

In this blasphemy case, no investigation was conducted and charges were filed on complaint of Muslim servant while law demands of investigation by magistrate to frame blasphemy charges.
